This paper was a great way for students to understand the Liberal Arts, and step back in order to apply them to their long-term goals. Throughout the project, we were asked to compare multiple articles and sources to our own goals, some being long-term and others being short-term. The paper overall is about how and why a Liberal Arts Education is important in our society today and defining that importance then connecting it to the goals of a student. These connections are effective and really help students apply aspects of the Liberal Arts to their own academic careers, and understand how powerful they can be in our society. My main focuses during this project are finding a purpose or fulfilling occupation in my major, community/ cultural values, and how aspects of the Liberal Arts – like critical thinking – can impact productivity.
